See below HPU’s 2025 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). HPU is required to conduct and post this report for public viewing each year. This report monitors levels of potential water contaminants in Hibbing’s water supply.
Consistent with the Lead Action Level Exceedance issued in October of 2025, a Lead Violation is indicated on this report. This lead contamination occurs on a house-by-house basis and is largely a result of lead in individual service lines and household plumbing. Hibbing Public Utilities is already working to respond to this problem through projects that identify and remove lead from Hibbing’s water system.
